Queer Community Spaces in St. Louis
Being in LGBTQ+ centered spaces can be just what we need, and luckily for St. Louis, while we don’t have a central LGBTQ+ community center, we do have a number of incredible people, organizations, and businesses that host events, meetups, and get togethers to help you find your people.
We are actively aggregating a list of these places to help spread the word and find what you may be looking for, all in one place!
Learn more about these groups to see what might be a good fit for you, and reach out to them directly with any questions. Some groups are exclusive to specific identities, some are open to any and all - be sure to do your research.

Gay Men's Reading Group
The Left Bank Books Gay Men’s Reading Group is open to gay men and our friends. Feel free to join our discussion! We do ask that you have read the book or at least a significant portion of the book for the discussion. The group meets in the store on the 4th Thursday of the month.

Lesbian Reading Group
The Left Bank Books Lesbian Reading Group is open to the public and welcomes LGBTQI women and our friends. We meet on the third Thursday of each month. We generally meet at 7:00pm downstairs at Left Bank Books in the Central West End.

Read the Rainbow
Come hang out with the Left Bank Books Read the Rainbow group at 7pm on the fourth Wednesday of each month to talk about some queer books, queerly. No one will be sitting on a chair correctly. Join us; there's a good chance of snacks and/or knitting.

Queer Romance Book Club
Novel Neighbor’s Queer Romance Book Club meets on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 5pm. All are welcome! These meetings take place in-person only.

Aspec+ Lit Lounge
A brand new book club centered on asexual-spectrum (ace, aro, demi, gray-ace, and beyond) stories, voices, and readers. First meet-up is in April; stay tuned for more.

Friends of Dorothy Queer Book Club
Metro East Pride Southwest Illinois (MEPSI) present this monthly book club at Belleville Books. Hosted the first Sunday of the month at 10:30am for adults 18+.
